Sahachari Foundation announces the third edition of Design one in New Delhi.Design one brings together both established and upcoming designers with unique offering of distinct,carefully selected fashion and accessories.Endeavour of the foundation to raise awareness and funds for NGO’S, promoting talent from across the country.Foundation has funded activities of eleven deserving NGOs,the Design One this year is scheduled in the lawns of The Lodhi, hotel, on Lodhi Road new Delhi open to public on Feb 27, 2013from1pm to 7pm and Feb 28, 2013 from 10.30 am to 7pm.

New Delhi, February 18, 2013: Sahachari Foundation announced the third edition of Design One at The Lodhi (formerly The Aman) in New Delhi. Design One 2013 brings together established and upcoming designers with a unique offering of distinct, carefully selected fashion and accessories. The foundatuon’s objective is to raise awareness and funds for deserving NGO’s while promoting talent from across the country.
This year the Sahachari Foundation takes Design One to the next level with the donation of a car by Arti Shetty of All Cargo for Sahachari Foundation, to Sakha Cabs for Women, a service provided by the Sakha Consulting Wings Pvt. Ltd.
Srimant Yashodhara Raje Scindia, MP Lok Sabha, handed over the car to Sakha Consulting Wings Pvt. Ltd, on February 18, 2013 in a formal ceremony at The Lodhi, New Delhi (formerly The Aman).
Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, MP Lok Sabha said, “Women’s upliftment and safety, is a cause very close to my heart. It delights me to see organizations such as the Sahachari Foundation actively work towards making a change, through the causes they support. Given the current national scenario, I believe any step in the direction of women’s safety and upliftment is an important one. It has been a pleasure to be associated with this event. I wish more people would take on such initiatives for the betterment of society.”
Designers Shivan and Narresh donated a specially designed Mastectomy blouse for All for breast cancer victims to the Women’s Cancer Initiative – Tata Memorial Hospital, represented by Mrs Sunita Kohli. The mastectomy blouse was handed over by Srimant Yashodhara Raje Scindia.
Speaking on the occasion, Amruda Nair, Spokesperson Sahachari Foundation said, “The third edition of Design One in New Delhi promises to be as exciting if not more than the last edition. This year to show our support to women’s rights, the Foundation is donating a car to Sakha Cabs for Women. We chose Sakha Consulting Wings because of their work with women and their endeavor to ensure safe transport for women.”
A lavish high tea by the Lodhi’s joint GM Robyn Bickford was enjoyed by guests like Minu Bakhsi, Sweety Burman , Nina Pillai , Tania Ahuja , Bina Goenka, Sunita Mathur , Atsu Sekoe, Pernia Quereshi, Roshini & Parul Vadera and Sujata Assomull among others in the courtyard.
