Suave Minister call for touch of coordination for all stake holders, his words made dent in the media, assuring soon the power growth targets are here to be achieved,the government has its structure ready in this regards, steps oriented Power Ministry would finalise the new bidding norms for power projects after discussions with the developers, Power Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Tuesday.
The Ministry, which has constituted an advisory group in the sector which would address the concerns in the sector, will only send the documents to the EGoM after the group’s feedback.
This move, however, is likely to further delay the documents in turn delaying the process of awarding new ultra mega power projects (UMPPs), according to experts.
“Before taking them (Standard Bidding Documents) to the EGoM, we will discuss it with the Advisory Group, which will meet in the next two weeks,” Scindia told reporters at a press conference in New Delhi on Tuesday.
He said there were apprehensions expressed by the Advisory Group.
“No harm in recirculating those documents and getting fresh inputs,” he said.
The Minister had earlier said that the new bid documents are ready and would be sent to the EGoM.
The new SBDs would speed up the process of awarding 4,000 MW UMPP each in Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Chhatisgarh.
On important matters of transmission loss which is epic problem of the ministry,minister notes were very encouraging on question of media for the escalation of power tariff which is main concern of common man.But the subject within ambit of state electricity boards the matters will remain in tin of lips.He further paid his gratitude to coordination, consultation with tribal and environs ministry,informed that 525 villages have been electrified within his 100day short stint.
