Modi in Delhi met Prime Minister Manmohan


Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on Wednesday morning, officials said the visit was a courtesy call.       

Both leaders discussed several issues during the meeting.

Later addressing the media, he said, “It was a good meeting. We spoke for quite a while on various issues.”  he said Prime Minister has given assurance to support Gujarat in every possible way for the development of the state.

Meanwhile, BJP President Rajnath Singh along with top brass of the party will take part in Dharma Sansad in Allahabad.Vishwa Hindu Parishad has called a congregation of Sadhus and Saints at Kumbh.

Mulayam Singh Yadav has triggered speculation on the possibility of early polls by asking his party workers to be prepared for general elections in September. 
This development comes at a time when Kumbh Mela is turning out to be political gathering of sorts.The stage seems set for 2014. 

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi  touched  pulse of the people while delivering the first 'Shri Ram Memorial Oration', initiated by Shri Ram College of Commerce, Modi said, he was coming from the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,  Gujarat has always remained at the forefront of freedom movement."Gujarat has always remained one step ahead in this (good goverance), the model of development is pro-people, good governance," 
Further  added "Despite hiccups, Gujarat has created history by registering 10 per cent growth," and  the three pillars of growth - agriculture, industry and service sector - must enable each other  Modi said.
