US arrests son-in-law of Osama bin Laden

The United States has arrested a son-in-law of Osama bin Laden and charged him with plotting to kill Americans. Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, who was also the late Al-Qaeda leader spokesman is to appear in court in New York today. Unconfirmed reports suggest he was seized in Turkey and deported to Jordan, before being flown to the United States. US officials said Abu Ghaith played a role in plotting the attacks of 9/11. Osama bin Laden was killed in a May 2011 raid on his hideout in Pakistan by a team of US commandos.
