Sonia targets Modi Govt on corruption issue

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has slammed Modi Government on corruption issue as the campaigning is in full swing for next week's first phase Gujarat Assembly polls.

In an election rally in Surat, she alleged that the state government is misleading the people on the Van Bandhu Yojana.
She said in reality the local people have not benefitted from this Yojana.
Former Gujarat deputy chief minister Narhari Amin's entry into BJP is expected to boost the party's prospects in the Saurashtra region where former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel's newly launched Gujarat Parivartan Party is putting a stiff challenge to Narendra Modi.
Amin had quit Congress on Tuesday along with six prominent leaders.
Voting in the state will take place on 13th and 17th of this month.
