business strategies. The CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable
Development believes one of the most effective ways to mainstream sustainability
is to recognise and reward outstanding corporate achievements. These prestigious
Sustainability Awards are a unique institutional mechanism to build India’s
Most Sustainable companies. Since inception in 2006, over 400 organisations
of various sizes and sectors have vied for them, and 88 have been recognized so
far. The rigorous assessment process offers insights on improving the impact of
various initiatives, on the overall performance, as well as help to identify new
opportunities for value-creation.
