‘Indian IPR Filings Just about 8,000 – 0.01% Of the World’

Is it not  National Tragedy India faces opposition in FDI when India focus ought to be largely on creating IPR – Patents in particular.

China is filing 20% of World Patents and Trademarks – more than its population share and 80% Industrial Design and Utility Model. India is nowhere.

Somehow mischief is planted every year of growth of Patenting in India when actually India filing is barely 40,379 out of 8.7m, in this Indian filings are not more than 8000 or 20%. So Indian IPR contribution is ZERO.

There is no point in debating on amount invested on R&D, official figure is around $10b or $50b in PPP.

GOI ought ‘Constitute Group of Ministers to Speedily Introduce Utility Models, Improve Patents by Eliminating Hinderances.’
