Subject: Request to participate in the Celebrations Programme on the completion of 30 years of the existence of the Institute of Objective Studies on November 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi.

Dear Sir/Madam,

It is a matter of great satisfaction that the Institute of Objective Studies (IOS) has completed 30 years of its existence with a constantly upward trajectory on the scale of expansion in its activities and concerns, particularly for marginalised sections of Indian society including Muslims, creating humanistic world-view and evolving appropriate methodologies of research and analyses on issues and problems concerning the fulfillment of objectives of the institute.

To mark the completion of 30 years of the existence of the IOS, it has been decided to organise a national conference on the broader theme “Towards Equality, Justice and Fraternity in Contemporary India - Creating a Better Tomorrow” on November 5, 2016 from 10:00 a.m.onward at Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi. An approach note on the theme is enclosed for your kind perusal.

The present-day world is aspiring for providing space to new thinking and modes of living. Such challenges call for mental and psychological acceptance of facts and belief in creating equality, justice and fraternity to create a better tomorrow.

Education is central for human development. In present-day context, education has to be taken in all forms and at all levels and to be made relevant to the situation.  It is necessary to work on these aspects to provide relief to suffering humanity. The 30th year celebrations would primarily work on education in its broader sense and to work for bringing solace to the society as a whole. The Institute of Objective Studies resolves to cover education in India under the following themes:

  • New Education Policy: Purpose, Focus and its Salient Features
  • School Education: Critical areas of concern
  • Higher Education: Social Sciences and Humanities, Science and Technology
  • Community Educational Institutions: Review and Impact
  • Minorities and other marginalised sections and Dalit education and way forward

In view of the significance of the programme, we earnestly request you to participate in the said conference.

We sincerely look forward to your confirmation.
Yours truly,
