TRADERS AGITATED AGAINST CHINA
TRADERS AGITATED AGAINST CHINA FOR SUPPORTING TERRORISM
WILL BURN HOLY OF CHINESE GOODS & BOYCOTT CHINESE PRODUCTS
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has taken strong exception of behavior of China yesterday at Us since it has voted against India in United Nation on the question of terrorism and has supported Pakistan openly. “It is rather embarrassing for us here in India to see our neighbor supporting anti-national agenda against our country. We don’t see how would China make up for its stand and continue to work on bilateral talks to promote stability within the region. We at CAIT strongly and unanimously support Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi and supports his call for global unity to crush terrorism.
During its upcoming National Traders Conclave to be held from 4th April to 6th April 2016 at New Delhi, the CAIT would strongly agitate against Chinese goods and pledge to burn holy of Chinese goods made in China-said CAIT National President Mr. B. C. Bhartia & Secretary General Mr Praveen Khandelwal today at a joint statement issued here at New Delhi. At CAIT’s Governing Council meeting held today, it was decided to boycott Chinese made goods with immediate effect and it was also decided to ratify this decision at National Traders Conclave.
Both Mr. Bhartia & Mr. Khandelwal said that China has again blocked India’s bid at United Nations JeM Chief Masood Azhar by using Veto to India’s proposal. If supporting terrorism is China’s policy, its time for citizens to retort by not using Chinese goods.

The Yearbook, published by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), finds that in India, the Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) grew by 7.6% in 2015, compared to 2014.The quarterly index of industrial production (IIP) shows 1% growth of manufacturing output in the fourth quarter of 2015 compared to the same period of the previous year.
The global growth rate of manufacturing production has slowed to 2.8% in 2015. The report highlights that this slowdown could be due to reduced manufacturing growth rates recorded by major developing and emerging economies. The Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) growth rate in developing and emerging industrial economies dropped to 4.5% in 2015 from 5.4% in 2014.
As well as presenting the annual figures on global manufacturing growth and structure, the Yearbook also presents figures on rising inequality among the nations in terms of MVA per capita. The difference between the MVA per capita of industrialized economies and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) has been consistently rising over the last 25 years. Currently, the MVA per capita of industrialized economies stands at US$ 5,350, compared to US$ 89 of LDCs.
The International Yearbook of Industrial Statistics is one of UNIDO’s major statistical publications. It presents detailed, country-specific, business structure statistics which are directly related to several indicators for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), especially SDG9 concerning industrialization.

Hastings, 2 April 2016: Indian Eves forward Poonam Rani achieved the distinction of playing 150 matches for her country today. She achieved the milestone in India’s opening match of the Hawke’s Bay Cup against hosts New Zealand.
Hisar-born Poonam, who played her first international in 2009, has not looked back since her debut helped her seal a Junior World Cup berth in the United States the same year. She later represented India in the World Cup in Argentina, in New Delhi’s Commonwealth Games and Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010.
Since then Poonam has represented India in almost every tournament that the country has played. She was also part of the historic bronze medal winning team at the Junior World Cup in Germany in 2013 and the Olympic qualifying team last year.
“Hockey India is extremely delighted for Poonam’s achievement of 150 international matches. She has been an integral part of this historic Indian team and we wish her all the best for the future,” Md. Mushtaque Ahmad, Secretary General Hockey India said.
India’s opening match against the hosts started with the Indians immediately forced on the backfoot as New Zealand attacked with speed right from the whistle. Two penalty corners were thwarted away and the score remained nil.
A smart save from Savita in goal, off a penalty stroke, one that shocked the fans meant India walked away from the first quarter with a clean sheet.
New Zealand took the lead through an Olivia Merry field goal at the beginning of the second quarter.
Forced to defend deep, India played the waiting game, as New Zealand kept them pressed back in their own half for a large portion of the first half, and they went into the break trailing the hosts 1-0.
Indian goalkeeper Savita, who was always going to be put under pressure in the high voltage encounter, rose to the occasion, denying New Zealand several times through the game, and ensuring India were always had a chance to come back. In the last quarter particularly, Savita’s saves from six New Zealand attempts put the pressure on the hosts to close the match out. New Zealand’s last PC of the game, defended superbly meant there was no change to the score, as the points went to the hosts.
Speaking after the match, Chief Coach Neil Hawgood applauded his goalkeeper’s performance. “In such pressure games, against higher ranked opponents, who also happen to be the hosts, it is important that your goalkeepers have a world-class game. Despite the loss, we can see positives in our performance in defence and in goal. This was arguably the toughest match of our group stage and now we can build forward for our next encounters.”
