Karan Mehra: “I’m proud to be in Pavitra Rishta that has completed 1000 episodes and am in Delhi to invite viewers for Ankita’s wedding”
It’s time for some festivities on Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta.  Handsome Delhi boy Karan Mehra (playing the role of Naren) will soon tie the knot with Ankita (Archana’s 19 year old grand-daughter) on the show.  Karan is playing the lead opposite Ankita Lokhande (who plays the double role in the show as Archana and Ankita). The charming actor is in the capital, New Delhi, to announce the upcoming marriage with Ankita in the show to be aired on 2 December 2013 from 9 to 10 30 pm & interact with his fans at the Zee TV stall @ @India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2013.

The show having completed 1000 episodes has recently taken a 20 years leap.  To play a character who is mentally handicapped is a challenge for Karan. Excited about his visit to his hometown, Karan said, “It’s a privilege to be a part of this iconic show on television. Five years and still being one of the most popular shows on TV is no small feat. To play this role is tough and audience appreciation is what helps me play it well. The wedding with Ankita will bring about a very interesting storyline that will surely entertain our audiences. My co-actors in the show are all wonderful actors and I share a good rapport with all…Truly, I’m proud of acting in this show.
He adds, “The show is all set for a major high-point with Ankita tying the knot with Naren … the wedding is a marriage of compromise for Ankita who is marrying her boss with a mental ailment, putting her own personal happiness aside. Just like Archana, Ankita also stands for self-sacrifice and putting other’s needs in front of her own. To promote this maha episode of the show on Monday, 2nd December where Ankita and Naren get married, Archana (Ankita Lokhande), Sulochana (Savita Prabhune) and Savita Tai will be seen making appearances across all other fiction shows of Zee TV in the coming week, inviting the protagonists of the other shows to join us at the big gala wedding! This one and a half hour wedding special episode will feature popular stars from amongst the Zee family and be a treat for every Zee fan!”

In the current track of the show following a 20 year leap, the young Ankita (Ankita Lokhande in a double role as Archana’s own granddaughter!) is all set to marry her boss Naren. When Naren’s mother had popped the question to Ankita if she’d like to marry Naren, Ankita was in a fix. She’s never looked at Naren in that light. But, she asks for time to mull over the proposal and finally gives her nod, putting the well-being of her family and the happiness of her siblings over her own! After all, Ankita’s family is facing an acute financial crunch and her marriage to the rich and successful Naren would solve so many of their problems.
While all seems to be going well, right after the sakharpuda, Naren’s evil brother Raunak, who secretly eyes Ankita, manipulates matters in such a way that Naren gets one of his attacks. It is revealed to all present at the engagement that Naren suffers from a mental ailment that manifests itself in occasional fits. Ankita and her siblings are in a state of shock as Naren and Rushali had clearly held back this information from Ankita … but now that she is engaged to Naren and will soon to be married to him in the best interests of her siblings, Ankita must learn to live with a man who has a mental illness.
Naren being Arjun’s (Rithvik Dhanjani) business associate, the Deshmukhs are happy that he has found a beautiful girl from his own office who is ready to marry him despite his condition. They are blissfully unaware that Naren’s bride is none other than Soham’s daughter Ankita, making her Manav -Archana’s grand-daughter.
On his trip to Delhi, he says, “Being in Delhi brings back many memories of being brought up here and I miss the winters.  Also, meeting my fans at the Zee TV stall at IITF 2013 has been a tremendous experience for me.”

Will Ankita resign to fate and accept Naren with his ailment or will she manage to help him overcome his problem?
All this and more will be answered in the upcoming episodes of Pavitra Rishta every Monday to Friday at 9 PM, only on Zee TV. Stay tuned to the wedding special 1 and a half hour Mahaepisode where Ankita and Naren tie the knot at 9 PM on 2nd December!

SAD LAMBASTS CONGRESS

26112013
SAD LAMBASTS CONGRESS FOR JUSTIFYING  1984 SIKH MASSACRE
Newdelhi, November 25 : The Shiromani Akali Dal lambasted the PPCC Spokesman Mr. Sukhpal Singh Khaira for his comments justifying 1984 sikh massacre and described the statement as double standards of the Congress leader.
Reacting strongly to the statement of Mr. Khaira, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that during a workshop of Congress party’s spokespersons in Delhi Mr. Khaira himself had questioned the party high command that how should the spokespersons  justify 1984 massacre before the media ? But it is ironical to see the same PPCC Spokesman now coming with a strange logic to defend the Congress in Delhi state assembly elections.
Dr. Cheema further said that on one hand the Congress party has given a ticket to the son of Mr. Jagdish Tytler, prime accused in 1984 anti sikh riots, sending the impression that Congress party still stands committed to the second generation of perpetrators of crime against Sikhs and on the other hand the Congress leaders are shredding crocodile tears in the streets of Tilak Nagar of Delhi which has suffered the most during 1984 anti sikh riots.

SAD ALLEGES LARGE SCALE BOGUS VOTES IN RAJOURI GARDEN

26112013
New Delhi, 25 November :—
The Shiromani Akali Dal urged the Election Commision of India to conduct an enquiry into the registration of bogus votes in 27- Rajouri Garden Assembly Constituency.
In a written complaint filed by the Shiromani Akali Dal Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema the SAD alleged that 266 bogus votes have been registered in Khayala village which is the native place of official candidate of Indian National Congress Party Mrs. Dhanwanti Chandila. Dr. Cheema alleged that in two small plots bearing house nos WZ 101 and WZ 102, 93 & 142 bogus votes have been registered respectively and 42 votes have been registered in the same houses in the supplementary voter list issued by the returning officer.
Dr. Cheema informed the commission that it is surprising to see that in the same houses five years ago a similar complaint of registration of bogus votes was filled by Shiromani Akali Dal on 25 November, 2008. In that case the house nos were also WZ 101 & WZ 102.
The Shiromani Akali Dal demanded immediate deletion of all bogus votes, strict punishment to the guilty officials and strict action against the Indian National Congress party candidate Mrs Chandila.
