S.Korea cooperation with Myanmar

Myanmar Foreign Minister Wunnna Maung Lwin is on official visit to South Korea.Myanmar is attracting global attention with its inherent potential growth and is on the path to democratization.South Korea says it will undertake a wide range of economic cooperation with Myanmar.South Korean Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Kim Sung-hwan met Myanmar's Foreign Minister Wunnna Maung Lwin in Seoul on Friday.

Kim expressed South Korea's willingness to cooperate with Myanmar in investment, trade, natural resources development and exchanges of personnel.South Korea is trying to boost its ties with Myanmar.

President Lee Myung-bak visited Myanmar in May, becoming the first South Korean leader to do so in 29 years.A South Korean government official said Myanmar's President Thein Sein told Lee that his country had  weapons dealings with North Korea for 20 years. He also assured him that Myanmar will abide by a UN resolution banning all arms trade with the North.
