Kabul international airport an NATO headquarters has been hit by a series of massive explosion, blasts and attacks are continuing  being heard from the facility, Aljazeera reports. Police said north of the airport from a five story building under construction a rockets have been fired which penetrated in the hangers.Talibans has taken the responsibility and said has said suicide bombers and civilians have been evacuated.
Insurgents launched an attack on the airport at around 4:30am on Monday, said  Kabul police spokesman Hashmat Stanekzai.  
According to preliminary reports at least 10 militants are involved in the assault. The area has been sealed off by the security forces with helicopters patrolling the area. Security forces have reportedly managed to take down the militants’ local residents reported hearing many explosions coming from the military section of the airport. They described the explosions as rocket-propelled grenade blasts along with automatic weapons fire.A group of militants has captured a building nearby to target the airport and other facilities reports aljazeera.
