Dear Mr. Naresh Kumar,

The incidence of assault on doctors is rising. These instances are occurring both in government as well as Private institutions. In the grab of expressing dissatisfaction regarding the medical services, patients and or relatives resort to taking law into their own hands and indulge in assault, rampage and vandalism.

These acts have affected the working conditions and atmosphere in the Hospital and are seriously damaging the Doctor-Patient relationship.

To combat the menace of assault on doctors, Delhi Medical Association is organizing a workshop on Assault on Doctors on Sunday, 12th June 2016 at DMA Hall Daryaganj, New Delhi from 10 am to 1 pm followed by lunch. Delegates from all the sections of the society (Police, press and media,  law, nursing home owners etc) will be attending the workshop. A white paper on the issue will also be generated. This white paper will contain reasons for these assault and possible solutions of these incidence. We will request the concerned authorities to take remedial actions wherever required.
On behalf of Delhi Medical Association, we request your goodself to attend the workshop or nominate one person from your esteemed news papers/media house to attend the same.

You are requested to send  confirmation along with email and mobile  to DMA office or email at delhimedicalassocition@gmail.com.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Ashwani Goyal
Hony. State Secretary, DMA
