British Queen to visit the Vatican

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth will visit the Vatican in April for the first time in 14 years.
The royal family announced on Tuesday that the Queen would travel to Rome on April 3rd. She will meet Pope Francis after attending a luncheon hosted by Italian President Giorgio Napolitano.
The Queen has visited the Vatican 3 times during her reign. In 2010, then Pope Benedict the 16th became the first pope to make an official visit to Britain.
It will be the first overseas trip for the 87-year-old Queen since she went to Australia in 2011. In June, she will visit France to mark the 70th anniversary of the World War Two landings in Normandy.
