Date: 24rd March, 2018
Place: Press Club of India New Delhi.
Time: 11.30am
We take pleasure in informing your good self that we are holding an international seminar on “TREATY PROHIBITING NUCLEAR WEAPONS – OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES” on 24th and 25th march 2018 at Constitution Club, New Delhi.
The treaty, passed by 122 votes in favour and only one against has been possible as a result of long drawn struggle by ICAN – the International campaign to abolish nuclear weapons. For this accomplishment the ICAN, has been awarded Nobel Peace prize for 2017.
But it is a matter of serious concern that the nine Nuclear weapons possessing countries including the USA, Russia, UK ,France, China, Israel, India, Pakistan and North Korea did not participate in the treaty negotiations. The present seminar is a part of the strategy to hold such events in all nuclear weapons states followed by dialogue with decision makers and impress upon them to utilize this historic opportunity to save the world from mutually assured destruction.
On the occasion we are organizing a press conference as per programme below:
