WORLD OZONE DAY ON 16TH SEPTEMBER, 2017 IN NEW DELHI.
Celebrating the World Ozone Day on 16thSeptember, every year to recognize the contributions of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer to the mankind in phasing out Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS), through its extraordinary international cooperation and understanding.
India has been celebrating the World Ozone Day each year at national and regional level every year since it became a Party to the Montreal Protocol in June 1992.
As part of the celebrations of the 30th anniversary to the Montreal Protocol during 2017, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India will be organizing the World Ozone Day on 16th September, 2017 in New Delhi at the following venue:

Convention Centre
India Habitat Centre

New Delhi- 110003
As part of the celebrations, an industry exhibition will be organized to showcase technologies which are based on non-ODS with low Global Warming Potential (GWP).
Hon’ble Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change has kindly consented to grace the occasion as Chief Guest. The detailed programme would be sent separately.
