Global Sneak

NATO is launching its biggest military exercise since 2002 on Saturday, putting 36,000 alliance soldiers through their paces in Italy, Spain and Portugal, AFP reported. “Trident Juncture 2015” runs from Saturday to November 6 and involves personnel from more than 30 countries, according to the NATO Allied Joint Force Command center based in the Dutch city of Brunssum. The maneuvers will also involve Canada, Norway, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, together with operations in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. NATO will demonstrate “new increased level of ambition in joint modern warfare… and capacity to meet present and future security challenges,” the command center said.
Iraq’s most powerful Shiite cleric on Friday called for a global war against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), Reuters said. Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani was speaking through an aide after nationally televised Friday prayers.“Battle with Daesh is destined for all Iraqis,” said Sistani, using an Arabic acronym for IS. “It’s not their battle alone but the whole world, because terrorists target with their dark ideology all humanity, its culture and morals,” he was quoted as saying. “It’s essential to join together all efforts and expand the parameters of countering this movement.”Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Thursday the Iraqi government would welcome Russian airstrikes against IS in Iraq, and was receiving information from both Syria and Russia on the group. Abadi told France 24 television he had not yet discussed airstrikes with Russia, adding that “it is a possibility.”

AAP on central government’s open interference in a case of marital discord :
BJP’s central government is openly interfering in the marital discord case of Malviya Nagar MLA Somnath Bharti.
This is clearly evident from the unprecedented combined presence of central government’s top law officers – Attorney General Mr Mukul Rohtagi, Solicitor General Mr Ranjit Kumar and Additional Solicitor General Mr Tushar Mehta in the Supreme Court on Thursday to oppose the MLA’s bail application.
The combined appearance of three top law officers of the central government in a case of marital discord makes it clear that attempts are being made from the highest political quarters to interfere in the investigations.
The Aam Aadmi Party would like to know when was the last time three top law officers of the central government had appeared together in a case of marital discord involving an MLA ?
Does the BJP’s central government feel that this case of marital discord is so important for it that it required the appearance of a Constitutional functionary like the Attorney General in the court ?
The AAP would like to know from the central government and these law officers :
1)      Was the central government a party to this case ?
2)      Who authorized these law officers to appear for Delhi Police ?
3)      Who issued instructions for their appearance in this case of marital discord ? Did the union law ministry issue a notification ?
4)      When was the last time central government deputed three top law officers to appear together for the Delhi Police ?
5)      Is this case of marital discord more important for the BJP’s central government than the black money case and the Italian Marine cases ?
It has now become clear that the central government is dictating terms to the Delhi Police in this case, like many other cases involving AAP workers and its intention of harassing the party has now been proven beyond doubt.
