La
storia della famiglia Ciraulo, che vive in povertà nel quartiere Zen di Palermo
e che perde la figlia più piccola per un proiettile vacante durante una
sparatoria criminale. Come risarcimento per la perdita, i Ciraulo ottengono
dallo Stato una somma di denaro che investiranno in un'auto di lusso, una
Volvo, che per i Ciraulo diventerà più che il simbolo della ricchezza, il
simbolo della Miseria della Ricchezza, strumento di sconfitta e di rovina.
Tancredi, il figlio maschio, durante la sua unica notte di divertimento in
città sfregia la portiera dell'auto. Non sembra un danno grave, ma il
padre l'aggredisce con violenza e a quanto dice la polizia, il figlio per
difendersi l'ha ucciso./ Ciraulo family lives in the miserable
district of Palermo called "Zen". But they own a luxury black Volvo
car. The wonder was bought with "Serenella's money", the compensation
which they received following the death of their child, caught in the middle of
a shootout between mafia gangsters. Tancredi, the son, goes out with his
girlfriend and damages the car door. It does not seem a serious damage, but the
father assaults his son with violence, and the young boy, as the Police say,
kills the father to defend himself.
