Czech cabinet loses vote of confidence

The Czech Parliament did not gather enough votes to register confidence in the new Czech cabinet formed by leftist allies of President Milos Zeman – with 93 votes in favor, 100 against, and seven absent.

Czech Prime Minister Jiri Rusnok said he will step down as the constitution requires in this case. According to media, the result has raised the chance that parties will agree both on the parliament's dissolution and an early election before the end of the year
