Four boys were brought safely out of the cave on Sunday. But, the mission was paused overnight for air tanks to be replaced.
Rescuers decided to go ahead with the hazardous operation because of fears of rising waters. The group have been trapped in the cave since 23rd of last month.
Weather forecasters said heavy rain could hit the area today and continue through the week.

Torrential rains Mumbai
Torrential monsoon rains lashed the Mumbai and its neighbouring areas, flooding streets, rail tracks and crippling life in the city. Mumbai rain causing severe waterlogging in some parts. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall till Wednesday.
The downpour — the highest of the season so far in a day — caused traffic jams as many roads and streets were flooded and people were seen wading through knee-deep water.
Vehicles on many roads were seen crawling because of the rain and low visibility, while potholes compounded the problem.
Japans flood rains devastating
Record-breaking torrential rain has left at least 65 dead and 47 missing in western Japan, state broadcaster NHK reported on Sunday. Most of the victims were buried alive by mudslides or swept into rivers and canals. More than 1,000 residents are stranded on rooftops in Okayama Prefecture and await rescue. Nearly 65 lost and 2 million displaced – thoughts with all those battling & suffering disastrous floods in Japan.
Rescuers in Japan dug through mud and rubble on Monday, racing to find survivors after torrential rains unleashed widespread floods and landslides that killed nearly 100, with dozens missing.
Rain tapered off across the western region battered by last week’s downpour, revealing blue skies and scorching sun forecast to push temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius (86°F), fuelling fears of heatstroke in areas cut off from power or water.
“We cannot take baths, the toilet doesn’t work and our food stockpile is running low,” said Yumeko Matsui, whose home in the city of Mihara has been without water since Saturday.
“Bottled water and bottled tea are all gone from convenience stores and other shops,” the 23-year-old nursery school worker said at an emergency water supply station.
About 12,700 customers had no electricity on Monday, power companies said. Tens of thousands had no water, Japanese media said.
The death toll from the rains reached at least 94 after floodwaters forced several million people from their homes, NHK national television said, the highest toll since 98 people were killed in a typhoon in 2004.
Another 58 were missing, NHK added.
Industry operations have also been hit, with Mazda Motor Corp saying it was forced to close its head office in Hiroshima on Monday.
The automaker, which suspended operations at several plants because of the rains last week, said the halt would continue at two plants until Tuesday, as it cannot receive components, though both were undamaged.
Refineries and oil terminals were not affected, but blocked roads limited access to one Showa Shell oil terminal in the city, causing gas and diesel shortages nearby.
At one landslide in Hiroshima, shattered piles of lumber marked the sites of former homes, television images showed. Others had been tossed upside down.
“Nobody’s heard from my next door neighbor,” one man told NHK. “I hope they find him soon.”
Water still swirled through most of the hard-hit city of Kurashiki, despite ebbing floods that opened the route to a hospital where nearly 100 patients and staff had been stranded on Sunday.
Thousands flocked to evacuation centers in the city’s district of Mabi.
“Nobody has anything to wear. We need shirts, trousers, underwear, socks and even shoes,” its mayor, Kaori Ito, told the Asahi Shimbun newspaper.
Although evacuation orders were scaled back from the weekend, nearly 2 million people still face orders or advice to keep away from homes, fire and disaster officials said.
An emergency management center has been set up at the prime minister’s office, with about 54,000 rescuers, drawn from the military, police and fire departments, fanning out across the west and southwest.
Japan monitors weather conditions and issues warnings early, but its dense population means every bit of usable land is built on in the mostly mountainous nation, leaving it prone to disasters.
NAB arrests Safdar
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team arrested on Sunday former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, who is wanted in relation to Avenfield properties reference case.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday shifted Captain (retired) Safdar Awan to the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, after he was earlier presented in an accountability court.
The son-in-law of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif was arrested by the anti-graft body on Sunday, following an accountability court’s verdict in the Avenfield Properties corruption reference that handed out a one-year prison sentence to Captain (retd) Safdar. He is also accused in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills reference.
Sharif was given a ten-year jail term and Maryam seven years, but Safdar was given one year for abetment. Safdar will be presented before an accountability court tomorrow.
Safdar, along with wife Maryam and father-in-law Nawaz Sharif, was given on Friday jail term in the Avenfield properties case. Nawaz and Maryam were sentenced to 11 and eight years in prison and slapped £8-million and £2-million fines, respectively. Capt (retd) Safdar also received a one-year prison sentence.
Two high-rank NAB officials took Safdar into custody after he appeared at a party rally in Rawalpindi. Around 3,000 people were around the vehicle in which the NAB officials accompanied the former prime minister’s son-in-law.
After reaching the election office of PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi, Safdar Awan was officially arrested and shifted into the vehicle of NAB team.
In a declaration issued by the beureu it said that Captain (retd) Safdar was hiding at his native village to avoid arrest, adding that the anti-graft body conducted raids at Mansehra, Abbotabad and Haripur.
NAB said that if Capt (retd) Safdar had to give voluntarily arrest then he should have done it on Saturday.
Safdar is a convict and media should refrain from promoting him, said the probe body, adding that it can ‘lead to lawlessness’.
The authority said that those assisting the former PM’s son-in-law will face action against them.

Brazil judge, Lula to remain in prison
Brazil, an appeals court judge has overturned an order of a fellow judge ordering the release of jailed former President Lula da Silva.
Judge Rogerio Favreto had ruled in favour of Lula ordering his release after the followers submitted a habeas corpus application on the former President’s behalf on Friday.
Favreto, the weekend duty judge, argued that Lula had been illegally imprisoned.
Later, top anti-corruption judge Sergio Moro – who originally sentenced Lula in July last year – said, Favreto did not have the power to secure the leftist’s release.
Judge Gebran Neto, then, followed suit and instructed federal police at a prison in Curitiba to keep Lula behind bars.
Though the 72-year old leader is in jail on corruption charges, he continues to lead opinion polls ahead of October’s President elections. He has vowed that his name will be on the ballot.
Lula says, he is innocent and the case is politically motivated.
Brexit Secretary David Davis resigns
Labour Leader, Jeremy Corbin said David resignation May cabinet get Brexit more bumpy Gov chaos. His tweets
David Davis resigning at such a crucial time shows @Theresa_May has no authority left and is incapable of delivering Brexit. With her Government in chaos, if she clings on, it’s clear she’s more interested in hanging on for her own sake than serving the people of our country.
Brexit Secretary David Davis has resigned from the UK government. The resignation comes days after British Prime Minister Theresa May secured the Cabinet’s backing for her Brexit plan at a meeting at Chequers outside London.
Shortly after Mr Davis’ resignation, his deputy Steve Baker, and another Brexit Minister Suella Braverman also quit.
The development is being seen as a major blow for Ms May as she tries to unite her party behind a plan to retain strong economic ties to the European Union even after leaving the bloc.
In his resignation letter, Mr Davis said, the general direction of policy will leave Britain in at best a weak negotiating position, and possibly an inescapable one.
In her reply, Ms May said, her plan will undoubtedly mean the returning of powers from Brussels to the United Kingdom and was in line with her commitment to leave the European single market and customs union.
The Prime Minister is due to address Parliament today to explain her plan for Britain to adopt EU rules on goods after Brexit.

Dear Naresh Sagar, A personal note from our new Chief Executive
Dear Naresh Sagar
A personal note from our new Chief Executive
Welcome to our July newsletter. We like to keep these e-mails short and to the point, so I’ve prepared a full CEO’s update for members and supporters which you can read in full here.
If you are in or near Birmingham or London next week, please do pop along to one of the two events we’re organising. We will be organising other events across the country soon.
We are actively seeking donations this month to help us prepare for what may be a very chaotic few months in the UK. As a campaigning political party, we want to be ready to work alongside others like ourselves to hold both government and opposition to account this year. Your financial support is genuinely important, please follow this link to donate now.
The more time passes and the more we learn about the Leave stitch-up, the more strongly I feel that history will smile on those who challenged the hubris and criminality which permeated their campaign. We need to be ready to fight the Remain corner, if we are to be able to look our children in the eye.
I could go on. More in my full update!
Mark Kieran
Chief Executive,

TransMedTech, MEDTEQ joins for research & innovation
TransMedTech Institute is collaborating with MEDTEQ with the aim of bringing new medical technologies into the Canadian health system by simplifying and accelerating the steps taken by their researchers and the project selection process.
The two organisations are joining forces so they can co-manage collaborative research and innovation projects eligible for funding from both organisations. This co-management will be made possible by the sharing of expertise, infrastructure and human resources. MEDTEQ’s scientific committee will evaluate joint projects as well as projects eligible for TransMedTech funding only.
The agreement also confirms the implementation of a project co-financing system as TransMedTech and MEDTEQ have developed complementary skills in this field. Their alliance will enable collaborative research and innovation projects eligible for funding from both organisations to be funded first by TransMedTech, and then to access MEDTEQ funding once they have reached a certain level of technological maturity.

US, North Korea set up working groups
Washington and Pyongyang have agreed to establish working groups that would handle the most pressing issues on the bilateral agenda, in particular, the course of North Korea’s de-nuclearization efforts, State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said in a statement Friday. She said the groups’ work will be focused on “nitty gritty stuff,” without providing any specific details. The announcement came after US State Secretary Mike Pompeo held high-level talks with Kim Yong Chol, vice chairman of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party Central Committee, in Pyongyang. The officials discussed a range of issues, including the return of the remains of US troops killed in the Korean War.
Iran condemns Netherland’s expulsion of two diplomats
Tehran has summoned the Dutch ambassador and condemned the Netherlands’ decision to deport two Iranian diplomats. Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi called the expulsion “unfriendly and unconstructive” and warned that Iran had the right to take reciprocal measures, according to Reuters, who cite the IRNA.
A senior Iranian official told Reuters the expulsions are aimed at harming Iranian efforts to salvage their nuclear deal. However, the expulsions also came soon after Belgium, France and Germany said they detained six people over an alleged bomb plot targeting a rally organised by an Iranian opposition group in Paris.
